Tag Pole - help

Was going to try to make a tag pole up for gamex. Has anyone made one and if so can you give me some tips on how to make one.

Cheap and east, broomstick
Cheap and east, broomstick and tag end and wrap cord around to hold it onto the stick then glue. Cheap and easy or for $70 you can buy a mako setup.
