tackle

hello again

Just to say thanks to everyone for all the help and support so far, its been awesome how you are all so willing to help...so thanks.

Next questions is....Looking at what gear to take regarding tackle, will buy alot in perth due to weight restrictions on the plane but what sort of terminal tackle will I want to stop some of the bigger fish like rays, small sharks, threadfin (if im lucky), mulloway ( if im really lucky) etc, i was thinking hooks in the 4/0 to 8/0 range and a leader of between 60lb to 150lb dependant on the species. also some wire.  Could anyone ehlp me out with this by suggesting a species and then the teminal tackle and rig to aid capture.  cheers one and all

Pommie Rog

One of the tackle stores you see on this site,as I know the people will give you the right info and look after you,In Perth the stores carry a very wide range of gear and I think you will be pleased with the price as I have bought gear in Jersey CI while on holiday their and found it a fair bit more expensive, depending on were you are staying,Im sure that the good people on this site can arrange to pick you up and take you to a couple of places,I will put my name down now if you like. jersey

The only pic he sent me was of a Buff Bream, which are normally way down the ladder when chasing local fish.
