Surface action in the swan?

was down in the swan today around guildford, never seen so much action on the surface in the swan before, i wasnt sure if it was larger fish chasing smaller fish up to the surface or fish hitting insects, i was watching a few closer splashes and i couldn't see any insects around where they were splashing, any one know what this is? i was thinking of going back down with the fly gear tomorrow.

bread flies mate. they go
bread flies mate. they go crazy for em if you hit a good school of them. if you cant get any on fly, chuck a few lures around and you might jag one ;)

u can try little nimps or the
u can try little nimps or the other thing is, the thing u would use for squid where theres that long bit of metal and all the hooks down the bottom (sorry cant remember what it is called ) and cast that into the school and try to jag one >;)
