Snapper closures and Dermal closure looming
Submitted by Tony Halliday on Fri, 2010-10-08 10:03
well folks with the Sound closed to Snapper fishing from the 1 Oct already and the Dermal Closure a week away, it seems we need to get our options ready for the pelagic season.
Who's got what plans for the next two months???
I for one want to dust off the Sambo gear and get back into the bull-dog-fights,
then I really want to get a mackie or something good on the troll this year.

Me too......we were only 5
Me too......we were only 5 km from the barges off Rotto on Sunday and am kicking myself for not going the extra few km as it is not too often the weatherconditions are suitable for my 540 to get out that far alone....
However, if we tag up with another bnoat or two, then more than happy to make the treck out, a lot safer that way.
KG's are my target species....I am gonna crack the code this demersal ban............

Since the winds are picking up, I will dig out my heavier radio controlled planes for a month, then go diving for crays after.

get the tanks serviced,
and get ready for the cray season, unless of course fisheries decide to close that down as well.
other than that, might see if theres a few tuna or YTK's about behind rotto.
