September Dhu fishing
Submitted by fishy2662 on Mon, 2011-02-14 11:30
I am a keen South Aussie fisherman and I loves this sight for its fishing content and access it daily.
I am coming over in mid-late September and will send my wife on a winery crawl to free me up for a day's fishing.
What's the chances of catching a dhuie at that time of the year and are there any recommended charters from the
Perth- Freemantle areas that only cater for a small number of active fishers?

In september the weather is usually a bit cold however the chances of getting onto some dhuies is good. Some of the sponsors of this site might be able to help. I havent had the priveledge to fish with them yet but saltwater charters is the go. Everyone on here raves about em!!

Thanks for the responses and
Thanks for the responses and I certainly agree that those sort of responses are what makes this site the best
Aussie fishing site! It also confirms my 40 year old memories of how friendly and helpful Perth people are.(except
when you try to drive down Hay St the wrong way)
Ryan I really appreciate your offer. As for catching big reds I fish out of Port Mcdonnell (near the Vic border)
about 850km from where the are caught.
Our reds are smaller and my PB down here is only 8kg. However if you would like to catch some harkupa or
bluefin tuna/albacore in season I certainly could oblige.
Thanks also Paul for your kind offer and I love your picture- I can just see myself holding one of those! ha, ha
I'll be in touch as soon as I know confirmed dates.
Cheers, Geoff
