Salmon hunting

hey guys i want to go for a salmon bash early on sat morn and i was really hoping someone could help me i have never caught one and dont know where to go, what rigs to use, baits etc any help would be gold thanks guys

You live in the direction
Woodmans, Point Peron and North Mole seem to be the places where the salmon are showing up at the moment. If you are bait fishing use mulies or garfish on ganged hooks on a standard surf rig.

does it matter which beach to try around there or is anywhere good i just had a look around google map any hot spots

Maybe one of the
southeners can point you more accurately. Personally, I would head down to Woodmans and see if there is any action. If not, then try Pt Peron.

Had a school in 40m today
Had a school in 40m today about 20kms out.
Must be going wide this year as the water temp is still high.
