Not a good idea on the beach up there
Stick to the inland track if fishing south of Lucy's. The track is right on the beach headland anyway.

plenty of talior this time of year
but hell windy , mornings are better as no wind
, duncans is my fav spot there , if you go through the back gate of the caravan park go left at the end and follow the p gravel track around the bends and you will see a track on the right take that for a few hundered meters at the fork turn right and follow for another 200m and there is another track to the left follow that track till you see the steep drop off park there and walk down the dune and thats duncans

S-Bend
I fish there often and know the locals well by now.
Lucy's is a great place and plenty of Mulla to be had after dark very close in on the beach.
I have had a lot of success fishing south of the Flat Rock surfing area. You need to go a fair way down past the cray boat moorings and the gutters are quite obvious.
Duncans is a good spot also and is north of the Flat Rock surf area. You can only go so far north as it becomes private property and the big holes like Kingie and Duie Holes are on that property only accessible by Quad bikes etc. There is another spot called Secret Men's Business and that's all I will say about that :P
Baits are the go in the evening but I love popping the reefs when the wind and swell conditions allow in the mornings. It's extremely rugged fishing and you will need plenty of terminal tackle.

West bank
West Bank just north of s bend has been fishing well for both Mulloway and big Tailor, the beach is a little boggy but the fish have been thick. Wind maybe up a bit this weekend but the swell is low. All along the coast around s bend is fishing well at the moment so you wont have to travel far of any major tracks to get a good fish. Also have a look just south of Flatrocks the beach is outstanding for Mulloway.

There are so many options where would you go if a mulloway was on the very top of your list this weekend. west Bank or south of flat rock?

West Bank
If the wind is not up west bank will produce but if there is any I would go south of Flatrocks into the bay, you will find a deep channel just as you get onto the beach before you reach the cray boats this is Secret Mens Business, fishes well in windy conditions, the fish Im holding is from this spot, good luck
