running vhf antenna cable and radio power together

moving the vhf radio to a new location and this would have the antenna cable and radio power cable side by side from the back of the radio for about 1 mtr.

does anyone know if this would impact on the radio performance or is the antenna cable shielded enough that it wouldnt interfere weth performance . There isnt enough room to run the cables any other way.

Cheers

Paul

I don't think there will be an issue, the power to the ham radio in my car runs along side the coax going to my UHF/VHF antenna at the front with no issues.

If IT does cause

If it does cause a problem ,

just buy yourself a few Ferrite clamps off ebay and attach then to both power and coax cables ,as close to the radio as posible, wrapping the wire as many turns as possible through the ferrite
