A few years ago there where reports of schools of mulloway around riverton jetty, and people catching legal size black bream between riverton bridge and kent street wier, has anyone fished here recently and caught anything or do use think its too freasher water.

I've been fishing those waters a few years now. Can be awesome some days and nothing the next. I think there are some massive resident bream up there... been dragged around in my kayak a few times but have landed a couple 40cm+ fish. All my best catches have been in Feb or March. Went out last weekend and scored a couple of legal size right near castledaire. quite a few people fishing up that way from shore. hope that helps

Have been fishing between riverton and kent st out if the tinny a lot over the last couple of weeks, catching quite a few between 30 and 35cm on baits, best pushing 38, found that mullet strips have been doing the damage, lure and sps have been working but mainly landing smaller fish, bloody good fun though. Also had a decent run on a whole mullet head and caught a decent(160mm) crab a stones throw from Kent st weir. Hope this helps,      Paul.

was there yesterday (16-1-12) and the tide was really high there. havent seen it like that for a while. only using lures and didnt get any . drifted lots of structure but only went as far as the first park with the drain i think(on the left of one of the forks). i was only using 2 different lures.
