Submitted by Redfin 4 Life on Tue, 2009-11-10 17:21
hey guys just lettin people know that redfin are out and about in size and numbers at harvey dam i went there on sunday no sucess but had a fair few strikes and follows of monster redfin and ideas of what lures to use???
most of the action happened using a medium sized hard boddied lure in the perch pattern i think it might be because the redfin have just bread and are predatorising the young redfin.

I caught heaps of red fin
I caught heaps of red fin down there last week, quite small though. They were smashing the insects on the surface. Red fin dont care what lure you use, should catch them on anything. However spinners were slightly more productive. Managed 2 trout as well.

small
The majority of red fin i caught were around 15cm, hardly even notice them on the line, using 6lb. Didnt measure them, just threw them on the bank.
