Gday while snorkelling for crabs along the edge of a sand bank in the Mandurah estuary I came across a razor fish, I have collected them in South Oz but never new they existed in WA, has anyone else found them in the estuary? I only came across the 1 so left it to live another day.

Yeah I pulled a couple out
Yeah I pulled a couple out from the estuary but they had sfa in them. I've never caught them anywhere else though but the ones I got had less in them than what a good mussel would have in them.

Heaps in Cockburn Sound if you know where to look
Be careful about eating them though as they are infested with nematode worms

Geographe Bay
We found them as kids in Geo Bay just snorkeling in 3-4 metres of water. I remember using them for whiting bait which meant opening and don't the flesh. One of them had a pearl inside... that was freaky and as kids we had grand illusions of being rich by harvesting the pearls. The sh..t we used to do & think .. makes you laugh now thinking about it.
