Port kenedy boat ramp ready in about 1month

Heard through the grape vine that there is a new boat ramp at port Kennedy (Kennedy bay) new resort, went down and had a look. Looks good, they just have to finish building the carpark and will be all ready. Just hope it is a public ramp...

did some diving work on it a couple of months ago.....

surveying the pylons positions etc

was mentioned that day with a very slight breeze the lack of protection for guys retrieving boats, we had enough trouble with a small breeze holding the barge steady along side.

Id be interested to see it in operation and on a day with a 15 knot or stronger wind blowing.

Not protected

It is not protected down there from the wind or waves, so summer time will be very interesting.

Southerlies...

...wouldn't be too bad, but an easterly would cause problems. I checked it out yesterday and I thought the jetty was pretty high for tying boats to. That was sort of a medium tide. So they're either expecting lots of high tides or really tall boats!
