plane trip

Hi Guys,
Heading to monkey mia today plane left at 730am I got to the airport at 705am and they would not let me on the plane.
5min to late to check in
Re-booked to go to monkey next plane to head up there goes to geraldton then to monkey 5 hour trip now god that sucks

Same thing happened to us
Same thing happened to us in tasmania, but with connecting flights afterwards. Lost about 800$ worth of flights out of it, was only 5 minutes also and the flight hadn't even started taking passengers or luggage was due to leave in 25 minutes too. Was an absolute joke.

yeh it sucks that they won't
yeh it sucks that they won't let you on even when they haven't boarded yet or whatever... but they have to have rules in place otherwise nothing would ever run half on time.
imagine if they let every person that was 5 or 10 mins late on... what would the point be in having a cut off time? I alway plan to get to the airport a lot earlier than I need to.. would rather be waiting at the airport for an hour than for a day to get the next flight cos I missed my first one. Missing connecting flights cos of the airline is another story tho... I think they should be responsible to help you out in that case.

Especially when you have a half an hour wait out the front of the domestic airport due to the 'improvements' they are doing.
