Righto, mate is looking for his first PE3 spin outfit. He picked up a PE3 Phlueger rod at a tackle shopw in Brissy (up to 150 g jigs) for good or bad, now needs a reel, up to $250 (cheapscate).
Options I think:
- Stradic 5000
- Sustain 5000
- Saragosa 5000
- Sol 4000
Happy to hear opinionsor alternatives. Mainly for demersal jigging up to 150 g jigs.

Second the Soron stx 60. Fish it with 20lb on one reel and 30lb on the other and has so far managed a few of the trout etc as well as a few good sized brassy trevs. The drag is shit hot!

Yeah sustain or gosa in my
Yeah sustain or gosa in my book.
I have the stradic and the gosa, and I am happy with the stradic - so thats an option for the lower price (and comes with 2 spools) but if you have the coin then the gosa is a good reel
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
