Love it when they are firing on poppers
Had one mental session years ago--fresh southerly, Cordell Pencil Popper skipping across the waves, they were hitting it airborne. I still have a picture of one with that 8" lure completely swallowed , and he did it in mid air from behind

Similar thing happened with a Queenie chased by a taxman. Jumped clean into the back off the boat. Talk about green!!!

steep point
The first time I went to steep point there were 4 men that had it down to a fine art ballooning ,they were on their last day and were having breakfast at their trailer and I was watching their balloon bait.It was in close and hardly ever hit the water. It did touch down briefly and skipped across the water then took off in the air again,I was considering letting them know it was in too close when a monster spaniard hit it in mid air right in front of me.turned out they were out of bait and it was an Iron henchman chrome slice that weighed about a pound, spectacular stuff on the first morning for me.They gave my 3 balloons that were full of helium and the crew set about getting our own macs after they left.good guys
just do it.
