Navionics Platinum card problems??

Hey guys chasing some info or pointers in the right direction...

Have a Lowrance HDS8 that was at time of purchase fitted with a platinum card and due to a trip south needed to buy another to suit... Given the occasional use in the south I opted for a gold card or should I say my deckie when he went shopping.

Now the gold card works fine however the platinum card when put back in does not want to play the game and the lowrance does not seem to be able to source the data. As soon as the gold card goes back in all good.

Don't particularly want to have to buy a new Platinum card just to test out the possible problem so has anyone experienced this and was there a fix??

Cheers in advance guys!

Maybe try in the settings. you can tell it where to load maps from in there.
It might be set on the gold card. Cant remember exactly unless I went outside and plugged mine in

As tim said mate in settings go to data and see if you can see the file you may have to select it. Or you may have locked the card if you have put it in a pc they have some sort of anti hack thing on them I have been told so you can't copy it

Cheers for the replies guys and I gave it a try however it didn't alter anything.. My next option is to try the card in another unit to confirm the issue.. Anyone know if there is a safe way of testing without risking and further damage to the card or possible issues with the gps head unit.

I had similar issues with my platinum card once. The fix was to delete the config.xml file on the card using a PC (BACK IT UP 1ST!). The sounder will recreate the file automatically when 1st detected. Hope that helps

I had a similar problem with mine. Had to take the micro card out of the big card and replace the big card ( sorry can't remember the correct name of them lol )

Turned out that the big card was stuffed.
