More bad news for those planning southern fishing trips

I have just heard on the radio that the Busselton Jetty has been closed down because it has been deemed unsafe.
It seems it will be out of action for some time.

Apparantly the jetty is in such a bad state of disrepair
it has to be closed down. They are talking about spending $27 million to fix it.

It might be a little old but
It might be a little old but it's still in pretty good nick. After $27M being spent on it it will probably cost $30 to enter and there will be no fishing or swimming or smiling even!

They will be taking people out to the Underwater Observatory by boat then? Or maybe you just swim out yourself.

It's a godsend for boaties, just think nobody fish'n on the jetty for awhile, tie the boat up to the jetty.

Have anyone figured out the observatory was a waste of money?? $30mil to fix the jetty....bit rich... Might cost that much to build a new one but to repair it???
Its been in that state since they repaired it 2 yrs ago!! It hasnt gotten worst, more like they need an outlet to launder money.
I dont believe it can be repaired to a better state than it is now.
