Yeah pretty crazy stuff I must say - would have been cool to see underwater footage of it though - imagine that, but dont know that when the time came I would jump in with one of that size!

I know Kletch has caught a small mako off scarb beach (I think) years ago. I have caught 3 off Perth waters now so they are out there and not necessarily just out deep either.

Right spot at right time is about all. They are pelagic and move round heaps so really you just have to luck onto one.

They would have to be one of my favourite sharks - gotta love that colour and attitude

theres another vid on the wangler forums under broadband about 3 months ago .some local perth boys fighting about a 2.5m mako .dam thing nearly lands in the boat.man does it get some air time
always in it just the depth that varies
