THE BEST BOTTOM FISHIN SPOTS IVE FOUND MATE HAVE BEEN WITH ME ECHO SOUNDER - ITS MORE FUN TO FIND SOME VIRGIN GROUND BY EXPLORING THAN FISHING SPOTS THAT HAVE BEEN HAMMERED - TRY FISHIN AT NIGHT - ALOT OF BIGGER FISH ARE LESS RELUTANT TO BITE AFTER DARK - AND DONT FORGET HEAPS OF CHOOK PELLETS AND CHOPPED MULIES - ALSO A BERLEY BOMB ON A HAAND LINE IS EFFECTIVE WHEN ANCHORED

Does this mean you are NOT a pro fisherman?? just about begging for fishing spots--shame shame on you!!!LOL.

If you go down to the beach, facing the water, point one of your arms straight out to sea and spread your fingers as far apeart as you can.Now take a bearing on the direction each finger is pointing as they are aiming at the five finger reef.Somewhere on one of those directions is a reef, the trouble is finding which one---that is called the first and hardest test of a fisherman's patience.

Sorry, cannot help you with any spots off Rocky, but do not give up,fill the tank up again and off you go.

profisherman95, by now with the above posts i think you may get the picture that no one is going to give away their good fishing areas. The closest you will get is the suggestion of "biggerfish" above.

I have been fishing off Rockingham and Safety Bay for years and it has taken me those years to find decent spots. All aside it really is a matter of trial and error with a boat, sounder and bait.

goodluck.

I Dont know any Super spots

Wed, 2009-07-15 23:20

I Dont know any Super spots out from rocko but if you launch from point peron and head parralel to garden island, when you are about 2-3 k's out just stop and go for a drift, we pick up nice sized skippy, blackarse, and all sorts of bottom fish. Good fun on light line and there is no shortage of bites
