That is an excellent rod IMO Richard. You should be able to give the fish some 'stick' with that one for sure.
There is also a 45kg dropshot that is even better for those extra huge beasties. It is a 2 piece rod which puts some people off but so far it has been fautless for my exploites.
Also I would go for the Spheros 18000.
Good fishin'

EDIT: I better check my rod , it may be the 24-37kg jobby
Thanks Terry and Wen for the advice, i will definately switch to the Spheros for for my jigging outfit. As for the rod i've had it for a couple of years and have been really impressed with it however i am yet to really test it on a BIG fish
Ive got the 24-37kg dropshot matched with a spheros 14000 with 80 braid and it handles jigging great. I upgraded the washers and bearings but out of the box it will be able to put enough hurt on almost anything jigging wise.

Of the 2 id go with the spheros...i have the 14000fb and use it for sambo jigging...
with the 18000 you can load ~ 300 metres of PE 8 line..
what rod do you expect to match the spin reel?
