Gday fishos.
I'm just wondering how i can get my hands on any kind of map which outlines all the tracks that can take you from Fisheries road to Israelite Bay. Me and a couple of mates are gonna spend a couple of weeks out there over the New Year's break.
I'd be guessing i could find out from a servo or tackle store down in esperance, but i wanna spend a bit of time studying the maps before i get there (i live in freo).
Also, anyone who has done the treck previously, i'd love to hear about your experiences. I get the impression that i should be very well prepared before i take off, so any advice or knowledge you could pass on to me would be very, very much appreciated.
Cheers!

There's a book that my uncle bought. I think it's called bush tracks Australia. It's got everything. He bought it from a servo up north I think but I rekon you'd be able to get it here. Otherwise try google earth or sum program like that.

I hear it's a pretty awesome landbased spot. I've heard rumors of GT's and pinkies from the beach, but i can't be sure.
Come on fisho's!! tell us your experiences of this elusive place!

I think you can get pinkies of the rocks their, but you have to be careful of big freak waves.

Try going to someone like HEMA Maps and getting topographical maps of the area you want to go to they are around $8.00 each and come in various scales.

All the tackle shops in
All the tackle shops in town have free maps with the tide chart on the other side....
Best thing is to just explore when you are out there...good fishing spots are actually pretty limited out there with a lot of shallow bays etc but saying that Bronzie alley and the rocks on the end have always comes up with the goods for me. Try also driving back to Pt Malcolm on a low tide. Best bet is too find a good hole or gutter and berley up....should be a quite a few out that way I'd expect, so maybe camp on the best hole/spot....
Expect to catch mulloway, gummies and bronzies, salmon and skippy and maybe a pink snapper if you are lucky also plenty of KG whiting in the main bay....along with a with a resident Great white so beware if taking a tinny!!!
......take plenty of supplies and bait as its a bit of a hike back to town....and plenty of fuel as soft beach driving can double your fuel usage!!
