who here fishes golden ponds?
i want to know if the fish housed there are seasonal...like which ones are the best to catch at what time of the year etc.
im planning to fish there a few times to get my tecnique down pat, and to make sure my lures work lol

Doesn't it cost money?
I'm not sure I would be heading there when it's a stones throw away from natural fishing spots. Some nice pools of water up at Serpentine and leading into the Peel inlet.

yea im kinda aware of that
but i feel the need to get a bit of confidence using lures for a bit before i head off to places ive never been to before. at least with golden ponds i know for a fact that fish are in the places i cast into lol

i've been a fair few times,
i've been a fair few times, during summer there's barra that can be caught, but a hint..dont stand within 1 meter of the bank, if they see you they wont bite, and the water there is clear as you'll get in the barra pond, so cast a bit back..
all the other ponds have bream and silver perch, on a hot day you wont get a bite out of them, good to go when there's been a few straight days of 20-25 (so around this time), give about a month or 2 and you should see some trout in the pond the barra were in.
either way, on a very hot day dont expect to catch much, i've gone on 3 hot days and each time caught nothing, cooler days is a different story
