Hi
YRS ago. I fitted a Garmin Transducer inside my f\glass Trailer sailor. Silicon to inside of hull inside a tube of Plastic sewerpipe filled with water and a screwcap on top for access..
Worked fine but nothing over about 60ft or so.
Just make sure there are NO Air bubbles in the silicon over the face of 'ducer ok.
