Fly fishing combos

hi guys,
looking to start fly fishing in the not to distant furture and have been reading through some old threads and websites and the pflueger combo and the gillies combo seem to keep popping up.
Are they good starter rods/reels? I was thinking to have about 6/7 wt as I only will really use it for bream, herring and gars. Maybe some salmon if I get over to rotto.
Cheers

also check out
Reddington combo kit - it used to be ~$200 @ Bluewater. No idea if thats still the case.
And fwiw, a 6/7 is too heavy for bream herring and gars 9trout) IMO (4-5wt would be better) and a little undergunned for salmon from shore (8-10wt would be my recommendation). You can get away with a 6/7wt fishing salmon from a boat cos you can chase em, but from shore they head one way and invariably thats away from you - plus casting distance and wind become an issue with lighter rods.
