FWA

Is FWA still in production, I've heard a few really recent rumours that they've been canned? Any truth to that?

As Far As I KNow

Fri, 2007-12-07 08:44

Hi Adam

(Answer your PM slacka )

As far as I know it is. Moved channels is all I know - and GWN has it for us straw hat fly swatters.

Looked at GWN - it's in the program guide at 11:00 am

Jacko and Nicko hit the road once again. In their most ambitious year yet, Jacko and Nicko travel from Israelite Bay in the south-east of WA, to the most northern town, Kununurra, in search of adventure and amazing fishing experiences.

With respect to Jacko, unfortunately, we dont have the glamarous *all star* personna of Ryan gracing our screen. Ah well, we'll just have to make do.

Yeah Rodrat - enjoyed

Fri, 2007-12-07 09:08

Yeah Rodrat - enjoyed watching Ryan too - when you could see him over the gunnels

(Gawd - Ryan'll kill me for that - it's all good mate - from 'tall' person to another )

No denying Steve C's enthusiasm.

Agreed on anything's better than nothing mitch - and beats getting interstate content - at least it's water that we could be fishing.

A good show

Fri, 2007-12-07 10:49

I always thought FWA was a pretty good show. Lots of helpful info, a variety of fishing spots and techniques, and the best thing is that its all about WA. I get a bit tired on Rex and some of the the others fishing the same ES offshore or barra spots most weeks.
That my IMO anyway.
Should have kept Ryan and dropped Steve though.

Jacko spoils it for me.Not

Jacko spoils it for me.

Not funny - just very stupid.

The best two presenters but never did a show together was Ryan and Ian Marshall.

Jury's Out

Sat, 2007-12-08 07:54

I haven't yet seenany episodes with Jacko in it, so the Jury's out till tomorrow

I always found Steve's C's enthusiasm and excitement very infectious, as Ryan once told me, he never stopped from Sun up to Sun down - I can respect that in anyone.

Ryan is great off and on camera - ALWAYS willing to help people - a TOP bloke in my books.

For those of you that were involved in the Five Fathom Bank (FFB) comp I organised, you'll recall to the extent that Harry, Ryan and Steve Palumbo got behind that 100%. Was great fun and the p*ss up at my place wasn't bad afterwards - was great to have Ryan and Steve there.

Jacko

Sat, 2007-12-08 09:16

A big jacko fan myself. He puts a funny edge to it so it doesnt end up slow and boring.
Ryan, jacko and nick hocking are the best three.

Yeah, certainly not what I'd call a season buster! Jacko's got a good voice (shame about the head ), and Nick is obviously comfortable in front of the camera.

But I found some of the dialogue contrived and over acted - especially from Jacko. The continuity needs some work too (it's only a small point - but nontheless distracting) - shorts - bear feet - long trousers - shoes - shorts.

Always good to get some tackle talk - but stuffing a berley blob? I guess they are 'casting' the dialogue for everyone.
