Fishing trips planned for 2007?
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Sun, 2007-01-21 09:16
Anyone got any plans for fishing trips in 2007 that they've been planning for a while, preparing for or just can't wait to come around. Thought I'd start a thread to help get you a bit more excited for that upcoming holiday where you might get to drop a line and maybe get that one you've been wanting for a while. You never know, you might be able to get that extra bit of advice from someone thats been there and done that. ;)

Yep...
In the middle of starting to organise a trip up north. Steep point area. Been reading some of monksies articles about crayfish bay and surrounding areas. Getting me keen. So far we've got me and another guy who is keen. Still a long way to go though.
Also gonna do a couple of salmon trips down south in the season.
Thinking of going down walpole way for australia day and chasing some salmon if there's any around yet.

Will be in exmouth from mid
Will be in exmouth from mid feb through to end of march. Planning a trip to Kalbarri around April but yet to finalise dates. Also looking at a trip to Christmas island sometime this year.
Looking to catch my first sailfish and big GT.
I am always keen to head away its just hard for mates to arrange time off from work and their families.
Wouldn't mind doing steep point either if given the chance.

Heading to Kalbarri also in April and may head up to Steep point for a couple of days in the same trip. So Steve we might have to go get ourselves an Alvy each for those pinkies and Baldies off the cliffs. Also keen for Christmas Island if you are Steve.

Exy in March
OH MAN!!!
its bloody monday morning at work and i had to read this forum...
Yep- gotta ripper lined up with Mother Goose (Gully), Maverick and Iceman (lol) to Exmouth in March 9 - 23...billies, bottom fish, light tackle mayhem, freediving...oh jeez i cant wait...plannning and tackle stocking-up is almost as fun as getting there...until you get there and then being there is even better.
Last year, we drove up overnight from Friday arvo, got out off Tantas by 11am Sat morning, and had a black marlin by 1pm (less than 24hrs after leaving Perth!!!)...followed by a sail to the boat and numerous lost billies!! madness...Gulls boat attracts em I am sure...something about the frequency/resonance of the motor...
The Pub will get a seeing to also. Seeya there bouttime!!
oh man...46 sleeps to go...today is going to suck now...
