Fishing Spots
Submitted by rickets on Thu, 2007-11-01 20:16
right, this is a complimentary thread to the 17th of Nov fishing trip north....
Just discussing and trying to figure out a good location to do an overnighter fish....
between say, Lancelin and Geraldton...
We want to nail some big tailor if possible and all the other usual suspects either from groyne, jetty, rock or beach
We were thinking jurien but possibly want to get a better spot than that...
Anyone know some good locations to maybe try out as far as geraldton? (maybe a tiny bit further north)

flat rocks about 10 km south
flat rocks about 10 km south of gero is not bad for tailor and mulloway and sharks ... used to get big whitting there too. greenough river mouth (2nd point) can also have its days for tailor, sharks, and land based dhufish... try the back of the live cray factory for cobia, tailor and dhufish .
hope this helps a little ... if ya taking a boat you could try mid reef or the coral lumps..

Lucy's
We always fish to the left of Lucy's just after the S bend caravan park. We have had good sucess with mulloway, tailor, sharks and a few unstoppables to make things interesting. Most of our fish come just on dark and late into the night. We also use the caravan park as a base camp as we have been caught out by the weather on more than one occassion. They also have good food there for when your battling a hangover!

Feral; This flat rocks place, is obviously not the same as the flat rocks place that the boys are going to on the fishwrecked landbased day on the 10th cos thats just past two rocks? Got any directions on getting there? If so can ya PM??
Also, Mitta, I have no idea where the S Bend is, can you PM me directions too to S Bend and Lucy's?

oh i was assuming that s
oh i was assuming that s bend and lucy's and flatrocks are "local named" or "nicknamed" spots, thus they dont exist on a MAP.
If they were on a map i would find them?
Oh, if theres signposts then thats ok i guess... as i said, i was assuming that those names were official....
