The first test match
Submitted by lachieH on Tue, 2014-12-09 12:20
its great to see Warner make his hundred, it's probably going to be his most memorable test hundred ever. But it's not great to see Michael Clarke re-do his back issue at 60 not out, he is allowed it come back out after they all of any wicket but the commentators seem to think that it may be a few weeks until he may recover. But it may be unrelated to his old injury.

As much as I don't like
As much as I don't like Clarke, it's never a good sight to see someone walking off the field hurt. Hopefully India can take a few wickets an make the game a bit more interesting

cant blame him but
i cant blame him for wanting to play but he should have put the team first before his inflated ego . Lots of footy players have had to rule themselfs out of grand finals as they had the guts to put the team first rather than playing for themselfs , with an injury

I'm a fan of Clarke's since the Ashes and he showed a bit aggression in backing up his team mates. Followed that up with as gutsy an innings as you'll ever see in South Africa. He's now come out to bat again too.

Hmm Clarkey
Looking at these comments, some humble pie? Hope he makes his ton, deserves it after showing immense courage dealing with the last few weeks and injury.

Yeh - not sure
why there is so much dislike for him, I'm surprised. Have to say - I rate him, always have. You certainly cant knock his gritty workman like attitude.

Not a Clarke Fan but.....
The way he toughed out this morning's session (when the team needed him) was impressive stuff. The recent events and his performance this morning may be the making (or physical breaking) of him.
Hope me makes a ton, it may be his last innings for Australia.

Good comment Adam, looks like none of these blokes have had a crook back, can be great one minute and stuffed the next.I sneezed a couple of weeks ago and mine went out.He has done enough over the years to make his own call, have a look back at the great things he has done ,people were off Ponting early on as well. Its the Aussie way unfortunately Tall Poppie syndrome. Hope he can bat on anyone for pie ??

Didn't like Clarke when he first came into the team (back in the Bingle days) but he has since proven me wrong
Personally I think Clarke has already proven his worth to the team and Aust. This match is just another example of good leadership and standing up when it counts

Clarke needed extended
Clarke needed extended physio after the tea break, but he has come back out after about half an hour. The aussies are putting Smith and Lyon in as spinners, then Lyon gets a wicket. India 4/299 it's turning out to be a good test match.

Very interesting match, good
Very interesting match, good innings from Kohli and I thought Lyon bowled pretty well, considering Indian cricketers usually feast on spinners.

Been good to see Lyon get a couple of wickets straight up this summer after his shocker in the UAE (mind you its good to see Australia get some runs after their shocker in the UAE!). Lets hope Smith and Warner can keep up their good form leading into the World Cup

Im surprised at all the Clarke flack
IMO "Pup' is an awesome cricketer and Captain. Nothing but admiration for his grit.
With a stuffed back this stuff takes courage. If he can do this he is fit to play.

I respect Mitchell Marsh.
I respect Mitchell Marsh. Unselfish play. 28 or 22 off one over. He got out almost getting another 6 caught on the bou dry.

My team lost by 1 wicket
My team lost by 1 wicket today. I got 2 runs and got 15 not out. I'm happy with my performance but it was painfully close. And the umpires didn't call an edge with 3 runs before they won. Really annoying
