Exmouth

i was just looking for some advice from everyone on fishwrecked. me and  my mate are heading up to exmouht for a week in the second week of the school holidays coming up. now i was just wondering 3 differnt thing. 1: what sort of shorebased fishing is there and what sorta gear would be looking at needing to take up there as space in the car is limited, what sort of fish would be be able to get in these spots 2 and if there are any differnt to normal reugaltions up there that i should know about.

2: are there any charters that run from up there? if so has anyone got any info on it/them just looking at like day charters not overnight ones. or even if anyone would be willing to take me and my mate out on thier boat and we chip in for fuel, bait, etc. we both 17 and know our stuff pretty well.

3: what sort of oppurtunitys are there for snorkeling/spearfishing from shore based spots again because we cant take the boat up there.

Any help would be apprectaited and if anyone wants to just got for a beach fish or something like that while we are up there feel free to come join us :)

thanks

depending on the winds as to where you fish. all along the west side as your traveling down towards yardie creek there are plenty of tracks that lead to the beaches , you could give them a go. there is also lb fishing available in the gulf around the marina , bundegi area and down at learmonth, all of these you can get some nice queenies and who knows what you will get around the marina as there are so many species available. definately go heavier gear unless you dont mind loosing rigs and line. not too sure of spear fishing but the snorkling side of it , head down to torquise bay and the oyster stacks which you will find down along the west side inside the national park. enjoy your trip. if you have time on your way there or back call in at coral bay for a quick snorkle as well , definately worth the couple of hour delay
