We are taking the boat over to DHI in a couple of weeks and are camping at the main campground.
Am after some info on the anchorage out the front of the campground as we plan to stern to from beach or swing from anchor close enough so we can wade out.
6.5 glass boat with plenty chain sarca anchor and spare danforth with chain as well.
cheers

We have just been there. The beach is pretty calm and stern anchoring is a piece of piss. I dug a small hole and buried my stern anchor, then just threw the rope up on the sand when I went out each day. When I got back, dropped the main anchor from the front and backed in to the beach and tied up with the buried anchor line. There were 1 or 2 poles on the beach you could tie up to as well.
there was a small amount of tidal movement, so just make sure the boat isn't too far up the beach or you will be high and dry on the low tide.
Great spot to stay!
