CMAP Reveal Thoughts

HI All
Got myself a Lowrance HDS9 live over Easter during runout sale at BCF , old chart plotter was a 14 year old 5 inch Lowrance LMS 525 so bit of an upgrade but still sitting hooked up on dash as spare...
Live comes with standard CMAP which looks fine , just seeing if anyone uses the CMAP Reveal and if its worth the $300 splurge for the Reveal WA coast map .
Have googled about and seen a bit on FW site by Jackfrost a while ago , seems somewhat limited ( I do Hillarys metro and Lancelin to Jurien mainly ) but curious around any updated personal experience and thoughts.
Cheers
Mike

Depends
Ihave looked at it for bunbury fishing. If you fished in close or out very wide it wold be great but it is no better than normal navionics or cmap where most people fish. I also looked at coral bay on it and did not think it would worth buying. You really need to see one showing whereyou fish before buying one.

From what I have seen it's limited, a want to have feature rather than must have.

Feel free to flick me a PM
Feel free to flick me a PM with the general area you want to fish and I can send you a screen shot of how it looks or you can have a look for free on the website https://www.c-map.com/en-au/chartexplorer. It's great for inshore fishing but fairly few and far in between from the 3 Mile until Direction Bank in regard to seafloor detail. I find it extremely helpful in planning and setting up anchor on small lumps inside the 3 Mile.
Now that I've got it, I won't go without it and just forked about $165 for the update.
Officially off the Pies bandwagon

Still very few and far in
Still very few and far in between from the brief look I've had since the update especially out of Hillarys with out of Mindarie having the most detail out wide inside Direction Bank.
It is extremely handy for the 4 Mile in the Cape, I can definitely see how I've driven over it in the past and not picked it up and there's a few gaps

Have had HDS 9 live for a couple of years, wasn't that impressed with crap from a fishing point of view, fitted Navionics card , much more definition, have switched back a few times for comparison, don't bother with cmap anymore stays on navionics
