Where from?
Where did you see that price?
I can't find anything near that price in Australia. Can get them from NZ for around $2800 but pretty sure got to add GST on.

Furuno price
if that price you got was from an Australian supplier give all marine services in Hamilton hill a call, I was in there a couple of weeks ago and the guy there said he would beat any price I could get on furuno and airmar if it was from Australia.
Cheers

Pretty sure you will have to
Pretty sure you will have to pay the duty and GST... They ship from NZ.
Let us know how you go.
I bought a 628/P66 combo from them but avoided the duty as it was below $1000

I bought one a few months
I bought one a few months back and I didn’t have to pay any extra taxes. I bought it off the Australian marine deals website but it was still posted from nz

Yeah that's the go if you
Yeah that's the go if you know someone. I bought a 587 from the USA a few years back and got stung by customs. I can tell you they don't just charge you 10% tax. There's fees to pay as well and the stuff around takes forever, ended up costing just less than I could buy locally but the stuff-around wasn't worth it
