Better get on the phone
if your not booked in somewhere by now your gonna struggle. You can pretty much forget the SW if you havn't.
My best advice would be to look at somewhere away from the coast.

As above
As Matt said, can be hard to get a booking and you should realy get onto it.
As for sugestions, Down south can be packed to the rafter's. I tend to head that extra hour or two further to get away from the crowd's. Hopetoun is were i normaly go ( have family in Ravensthorpe ) It is quite busy but not as bad as other towns. If you based at the caravan park you can fish right there and the coast to the east has endless choices to fish or just visit.
To the west is the national park and has great beach fishing, but i don't think it is open yet as they are putting a new road through.
If you are going for only one or two nights , Hopetoun might be a bit too far for you , someone else might have a suggestion but you will find it hard to get into a camp ground unless you book it ASAP .
Cheers Grant

best spot 2 camp at that time
best spot 2 camp at that time of year would be in your own back yard. Atleast that way you wont have 2 compete with the Xmas holidays craziness everywhere you go. best thing is 2 go either a month before or a month after xmas when most people are back at work!!!!!!!

Ledge point is not a bad
Ledge point is not a bad place to stay. Plenty of fishing options & not too far to travel. As the others have already said, you need to book early.
Good luck.
