Hi Fellas, I will be taking off next month for WA from Vic (TG) & been told Bremer Bay is a great spot to hang out for a day or so. Just wondered if anyone has fished there & what we`re likely to cook up for dinner as a result??
I`d rather be fishin`!!!

mate returned not long ago
plenty of options and they scored well on the inshore reefs particularly. Anthing from Pinkies, Queenies, Blackarse, Skippy, Salmon and Sambo's etc.
Did well on SP and particularly fishing from thier small boat around the deep washes along the headlands. good light gear sportfishing. Easy beach launching options for small boats.
should be XXsalmon from teh beaches, not the little buggers you get over there....(old days fishing Warrnambool, kilarney, Wolamai etc)
wouldn't miss Cape Arid NP east of Esperance (we will be there over Easter)
welcome to WA and feel to to drop by on you travels.
feel free to PM if you like

grew up there (well just up the road)
Haven't been there for a few years but most of the beaches hold fish. recommend going to a couple of place little boat harbour for a few bread and butter spieces (good shallow water diving there as well very sheltered). Short beach after dark can turn up a multitude of spieces of the beach one memorable catch was a yellow tail kingy of about 50kgs there, salmon should be there. if you have a 4x4 then a few other places to go would be Dylan bay and Reef beach or Fosters ( may haave to hook up with a local for the last to as access os threw a farm). still some of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see there too mate, pure white sand.
any questions pm me.
