Best deck wash pump???
Submitted by Dreamtime on Tue, 2024-01-16 13:20
Gday ladies and gents,
So I've had a look on the search tab with no recent results... I'm just after people's experiences with all the deck wash pumps on the market these days! I don't mind spending a bit extra to get one that does the best job and lasts but I have no experience in the last ten years using them so don't know the current trends in regard to performance/quality.
thanks in advance for any help!

Had a Jabsco PAR-MAX3 3.5GMP
Had a Jabsco PAR-MAX3 3.5GMP for 18 years on my old boat, never had any issues. New boat has a more expensive (and supposedly better) Pentair Shurflo Blaster 3.7 GPM and had to have it was replaced on warranty after 1 month, replacement seems to be going OK now.

I have a Jabsco for my deck
I have a Jabsco for my deck wash. We give it a flush with fresh water when we get home each time. Seems to be going well.

Jabsco Parmax 3
I've got three onboard. One for saltwater wash down, good for blasting shit off the decks when you're fishing. I'll use that when I'm scrubbing down at the end of the day with some detergent, then I'll use the fresh water one to give everything a final squirt down. The third one runs the hot and cold water for the sink and shower. There's another pump attached to the macerator on the toilet, this is the only one I don't want to fail!.
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....

Funny you post this. My
Funny you post this. My Jabsco 4.0 just craped it self for the second time in two years. First time was the pressure switch then yesterday I discovered that water had leaked into the motor housing causing the pump to draw a lot of current and blow fuses. Might get another just because the boats set up for it but I have only had it for 3 years and only used it for freshwater.

Generally the Jabsco pumps
Generally the Jabsco pumps are pretty good, but at a better price point (for chinese shit) is the Seaflo pumps.
The pressure switches mentioned above, you can buy on ebay that fit most of them
