Last Monday
Was all time conditions out back but slow going.
Took a while but +10 kg Dhu, nice baldy and a black bum.
Nw drift was reasonably strong, grey suit visit and a inquisitive whale.
Direction bank and further, just north of Rotto.
Reverse cycle a/c supply and install - Ducted and wall splits

belatedly .....did opening
belatedly .....did opening day from hilarys, covered tons of ground and found lots of fish, most had lock jaw. landed two solid baldys 58 and 60. returned some pinks in the 100's whilst exploring (before coming back in and getting the second baldy).
Did two rocks monday 7th, found a big school of dhus in the 40's and bagged in a single drift 2 at 84, 1 at 76 and a baldy 54.
massive school of blue macks feeding on something the siz of anchovies jumping around us but no tuna breaching. launched at 5.15 did 30km out, drifted twice and returned at 7.30.

Did a full day of the back of
Did a full day of the back of rotto yesterday, 60 - 80m wasn't a mad bite but wasn't bad either.
Hit a few Dhues, pinky and a decent nannygai all before 1pm, wind and current suited the jigging quite nicely. Lost a few solid fish to sharks unfortunately.

Went out this arvo
Had a run out of hillarys solo this arvo. No surface action at all in the 30m area. Very little bait around. Had a bottom bounce with no luck either.... Try again tommorow.

Inshore yesterday
Went out yesterday inside 3mile. Noticed water temp was down a couple of degrees from last trip a week ago at the same area, now at 22.4. Pulled pots for six 1kg+ reds, then drifted for snapper in around 10m. First one landed went 72cm, second one got sharked by a decent bronzie at the boat and everything went quiet, so headed in. No sign of pelagic activity either.

Out today.. very windy hillarys.
Had a go today. Got out to the spot by 5.30am. 2 small dhuies in 19m anchored and burley got reefed by somthing that felt decent. Trolled for the rest of the day untill 2pm small amounts of bait but no takers untill around 1pm... then lost it just before the boat ffs!!! Very windy in the morning... water very dirty, 22.5 to 23 degree water temp...

Anyone get out today?
Wondering what came in today? Was pretty windy but fishable. My efforts were, Three undersize pinkies, 1 king gorge 1 shark in the morning. Decided to troll around after that and look for ground. Managed 2 skip jack tuna... nice to hear the drags go off again. Happy Anzac day all.
