we have an old pride hull
Looking at changing the throttle control box because it's starting to stick, any idea's on what to get and what to replace it with, it has the three push button type, Forward-Neutral-Reverse.
can it be done

That thing belongs in a museum Karl...lol
If it's basic morse control box (2 x cables one for gear and one for throttle) just look at whitworths on line and they sell forward controlers in a few configurations. If you go genuine you will be up for big bikkies.

Electric shift
Sounds as though its an electric shift for the gears with only 1 cable to work the throttle. The only place I can think of is the outboard wreckers other than that I cannot help you

elec shift
It is an electric shift engine. those control boxes would be no longer available, your only bet will be a wrecker if it required replacement. if it is just sticky when operating the throttle (the throttle is cable operated not electric) remove the control box and dissasemble it and check and clean the throttle assembly. manually operate the cable, you may find the stickyness is in the cable as it may be 30+ old. The throttle cable will still be available.
