Accurate Twinspin 30

check this out guys.....http://www.accuratefishing.com/products/twinspin.php

They are bigger and badder than the saltigas and stellas put together. They are also now available from Bluewater for a mere $1399....
From what I read during the prototype testing, they are high geared and built to fish 100lb + braid and a heap of drag to match. Completely machined from solid billet steel. Hmm......do I keep my saltigas or sell them to get this beast.....

Unfortunately No

Not as yet, I wished I had though. Looks like a super tough reel that can handle most situations.

I think so too. Heard the drag setting can go up to 30lbs. To me that will practically pull me over board...:)

Unfortunately no one has use

Unfortunately no one has use it locally and its not really suited to jigging as they have high gear ratio. Many ppl have used it overseas for popping. I've read guys pushed it beyond 15kg and virtually skull dragging GTs under 20kg.

Check out this thread from one of their testers with the finish product. Mind you thats a PE12 outfit with 130lb Tuff Line braid.

I have seen that forum thread also and just give the shivers that the Twinspin can have such a high drag setting.

Its not for me

I've been playing with them for 2 months now... Seen and muddled with the prototypes to the productions.

I'm a small guy, so casting that thing all day long = not fun.

they do look shiny though :)
jsut not my thing

(anyway, its not like a 30kg+ GT will be the sort of size fish I'm going to get on each and every cast)
