Has anyone purchased a 406 lately and how many $ did it set you back. We have to upgrade soon and just wondering how much we are looking at.

i had to as boat did not come with one it cost me $389

First time visitor registering a distress beacon for the first time.
The
registration process will require you to complete several forms. To
ensure the successful completion of the registration process, please
have the following information at hand:


  • Beacon Hex ID/UIN

  • Beacon Serial Number

  • Beacon Manufacturer

  • Beacon Model

  • Name and phone numbers of at least one person who can act as an 24-hour emergency contact

  • Name of business or person who supplied you the beacon

Pretty sure you register it against the boa, and supply the boat details so they know what they're looking for.
