Fishing video "Metro Mix"
Submitted by Andy Mac on Sat, 2007-03-10 00:01
A collection of recent captures off the Perth Metro coast. Sharks, Dhuies & Snapper. I like the music mix on this one. The original vid is over 90mb so the quality is reduced a fair bit to fit it all in.
In the absence of any other vids I thought I would keep everyones appetite wet until Adam can get up and running in Exmouth.
Hope you enjoy.

Awesome music there andy. Sitting at home on a saturday night listening to that made me feel like I was near northbridge...
What is the creative sampling licence 1.0 you mention in the credits?

I was raving before you were born SPESS!
Adam and I have decided that all the vids need to be remixed to ensure that we comply with copywrite laws, so we are sourcing music under creative commons licenses where budding musicians put their works out there for all to use and reserve only some limited rights. The sampling 1.0 license means I can use their music as long as I give them credit for their tunes. Solves the problem of copywrite issues but you won't hear any recognisable songs on any future vids.
We are working on remastering the back catalogue but it is a long and time consuming process. I have remastered a few of the early mindarie mayhem series and tweaked the vision at the same time to refresh them a little bit.
Glad you liked the vid guys. Had fun mixing it.
Cheers

Better safe than sorry
Ok then. Where are you finding it. Just searching the net looking for artists that will let people use it.
Its a good idea. You never know what might happen.
I'm just asking cos I udually just put whatever on the tape but if I ever want to post or release something then I would have to find different music for all my vids.

Jamendo.com
That's where i am getting most of my music. but if you search on google for creative commons licensed music you will find a heap. just be mindful that there are a heap of different licenses, some are more restrictive than others.

On Jamendo do a search
Use commercial applications in the search categories to ensure any future use of the vids are protected.
They have a lot of French music on there but some good stuff too.
If in doubt send me a PM.

Sorry Tapout
I read the "I'm too young" bit and immediately thought it was SPESS that was having a go. Truth be known I was a big pub gig man (Scientists and Rockets at the Govenor Broome Hotel then Hooker in the late 70's early 80's) well before I went to my first rave in the late 80's early 90's.
Those were the days, drinking all night then crawling home and getting the electric guitar out with the headphones plugged in so I wouldn't wake the oldies. Used to play all the songs from the night's gig before hitting the sack in the wee small hours.
Cheers
