Yeah good call. The Mackies were caught north of Kalbarri river mouth. The snapper beleive it or not were caught at Oyster reef in the river mouth. The snapper were there for about a week or so. Hooked heaps but only landed about 10 or so. Biggest was just under 8kg.

Nice fish. Macs just off shore around the sand patch, nice couple of lumps they have hung around in the past and on a neap tide, oysters is awsome to fish. Once we and every other man and his dog was at the beach at Chinies and we skiped over to oysters and well, Mulloway hour of power as I remember it with a snapped Penn beack rod. Great times. Nice catch...ATB MAXY

I've never been to Kalbarri, always just seemed to head further north. Laurie's certainly making life hard for me sending me Kalbarri Offshore photo's every month with huge baldies, snapper, macks and the rest that go with it. Got to get myself there one of these days.
Is that the Tarasek brothers your talking about Maxy?

Yeah
Yeah. Danial and Simon. Ive Known them for years as I used to live there. Had some pretty awsome sessions with the boys. Spoke to simon last night he just got back from false entrance and caught some good fish as usual. they keep trying to get me to come to false entrance with them but its a bit hard with work at the moment so I told them around Nov,Dec. Cant wait.Ive seen Danial catch some unbeleivable fish of the cliffs there. He reckons Its nothing compared to false entrance.

Take some pics Maxy
Don't forget to take the camera Maxy and a richter lure or two, be a great place to try them out and I wouldn't be suprised if they cleaned up the yftuna and mackies. Definately worth a shot for $500 worth of gear, will get myself to Kalbarri one of these days.

Yeah. Ive been fishing with your brother heaps. He showed us a lot of good spots of the cliffs.caught some awsome fish.I remember Rob and I took Lauries dingy out one arvo chasing tuna.We got to sand patch then the weather changed and it got really rough. We ended up getting some tuna but nearly died in the process. either way it was an awsome day.Ive got cousins in Kalbarri that work on the cray boats. So I try to get up there to see everyone at least 3 times a year. I just check with daniel first on whats being caught then I no what tackle to take up.

It is close enough for a weekend trip....6 hours is nothing, even towing a boat.
Was up there a week or two ago.....pinkies every where....macs were a bit more fussy only taking baits floated off the back on a balloon.

Cheers for the heads up onthe macs Salmo.I'll be there in 2 weeks.Yes even I have memories of trolling for macs in a dingy. Not even the size of Lauries. We got soaked and the score was 3 to 5, in favour of the macs. I love Kalbarri fishing. River, cliffs, boat, beach etc. Might catch up one day Tapout...ATB MAXY
