some guidance needed

I need some direction here from people who have done it. I have a week off around the new moon in October and want to head North, was originally thinking Onslow and hit Thev, but I was wondering is there anywhere people can recommend that is a bit closer that will not be too risky with regards to weather. I am towing the boat up and was tossing up gnaraloo or just going to exmouth or coral bay as I have never been to either. For anyone who has fished these around oct novemebr what are some pros and cons/advice. I am mainly looking to throw some big poppers and chase pelagics so the bottom fishing is not a big concern wherever I go. Is Kalbarri worth a look, or too rough?
Thanks in advance.

Can't go past Exmouth for
Can't go past Exmouth for chucking big poppers for pelagics. I've had little to do with exmouth myself but there are plenty of other members here who can help you out.
Obviously Kalbarri is a lot closer to home for you but don't expect the fishing to be anywhere near as good as Exxie.

New moon
New moon in October, i'd be going to Exmouth. The GT popper fishing is awesome and the spots endless. Other pelagics are active and the sailfish should also be in the gulf. Yes the winds can be hit-n-miss but the good thing about Exmouth is the fact that you normally get time to get out and hide if need be!
Kalbarri/pass...not enough of the good stuff your chasin.
Coral Bay.....good spot but the onshore winds can reduce your fishing time.
All the best!

Wrasshole, the Billfish
Wrassehole, the Billfish Bonanza is 16th - 18th november. I will be heading up then also. It is hit and miss with the weather but as Ryan said there are other options whilst there. If the gulf is bad hit the west side and if west is bad the gulf is usually fishable. Also that time of year the sailfish should be in the Gulf chasing all the bait.

anyone got any recommendations for places to stay, hotels/houses etc. Taking the old man up who is 70 so he will want a bit of comfort and the better half will be there as well so the caravan is probably out.
