Does anyone know when this years snapper fishing closure in the sound starts this year?

Had a look on the fisheries website but they have still got the details for the last one up.

you can keep pinkies as long as it isnt in cockburn or warnbro sound. This year they have extended the ban its alot longer than last years, last year the when the first ban finished we got 4 days in then they closed it again this year there wont be any days in between to fish

Work is just for people who havn't discovered fishing

Unfortunately the shear

Thu, 2007-09-06 19:06

Unfortunately the shear greed of some people left the Fisheries no choice but to close the
season last year. After 4 days of it being open with over 30 boats getting in trouble when returning to the ramps with to many fish.

I've heard that the Minister will be revealing more info on the new bag limits shortly (Oct)
and there will have to be some public comments about it,maybe some meetings.

Good

Was a good thing they closed it last year while the spawning was still going on.

Your right about the greed of some people. I saw that many people chucking snapper to other boats as they had kept too many fish.

There was this big Bayshore Centre console out there every day too Dan. Kept saying he didnt catch anything but I dunno about that. The skipper looked really shifty too. Seen that boat around here somewhere.
