Hi everyone,

Hope someone can advise me what could be wrong with my 150hp johnson 1993 2 stroke. Starts fine at home, runs ok until warm and then starts overoiling out thru the prop. Yes it is a VRO and no I dont want to disconnect it. Any help would be appreciated. Ta

overoiling
It sounds as though you have an air leak on your fuel line between the tank and the pump. This causes the VRO pump to get a little over active trying to maintain fuel pressure hence the overoiling.

You were right
Thanks Noel,
Yes the fuel line was not tight and was sucking air. However, I have since disconnected the VRO and running premix. She does run a lot better but I think I will need to get the carbies overhauled. Anyone out there can recommend a good mobile mechanic NOR, ta in advance.
