Mulloway at castledare?
Submitted by tadpole on Wed, 2014-03-19 11:53
Went for a fish in the canning up at Castledare railway yesterday and was catching heaps of trumpeter and got me thinking about chucking one out as a livie. Do mulloway head up that way or is it too shallow for them?

There is some extremely deep water further upstream from there, so i dont know why there wouldnt be deep patches up there.
Upstream from Nicholson Road bridge at Hester park, there are 6m deep patches, but it is freshwater up that far.

Caught a juvi giant herring
Caught a juvi giant herring there once.
The southern tip of the sort of island bit, has a reasonable sand bank that we used to throw lures around with a small amount of succes.

Go for the mulloway there.
Go for the mulloway there. But you will also have plenty of fun with the Bream there.
Fishing the swan for bream, it's just an obsession
