Went out on the jetty for some squid following some reports that they are firing, seemed Everyman and his dog were out for a cast, bout half way and ended up with a feed of squid pretty easy.

They were a bit quiet for a while but after catching a herring and putting out a squid spike under balloon we caught our fill reasonably quick.

the pike were running hot around sunset and just after dark with around 30 being landed( plenty lost), all around the 35-40cm mark, had a blast catching them using small hard bodies and soft plastics.

kept some for bait so pretty happy all round. Good feed and a freezer full of bait for summer.

no chopper sadly but still good fun all round.
